Somebody got me sick!
How did everyone’s Wednesday go?!?! I mean, since I have read every single updated blog today because I was bored to death at work, and you all keep me smiling with comments and posts, I guess I already know most of them went splendid! Since I stand at work for 8-10 hours and read off my I-Phone, I am very well versed in everyone’s lives….how creepy does this make me? If blogging were apart of Grad school, I would have an A for sure, because blogging always wins over doing homework
To start off this lack luster of a day post…I wanted to give everyone a flashback of little LO. Or as my family calls me: Lulu, Lora-Lee, Lora-Lou, Lee Lee, Lou Lou…pretty much since I was born, I have never answered to my actual name hahaha.

Onto food!
So yesterday was Tuesday, aka deadline day for my papers!
My final is due next Tuesday and sadly, I haven’t started! I have one more weekly paper due and then my final 8 pager…ugh…why procrastination is never a good idea folks.
However, yesterday’s eats were wonderful!
Due to lack of grocery’s and banking issues, I have been eating whats in the good old cabinet….aka. not much veggies or fruits.
I left off with some oatmeal that was to die for yesterday morning and soon it was snack time!
Who says you can’t have pie?
pumpkin pie to be exact!!!
This wasn’t what I was expecting but it was still tasty! I think it needs more pumpkin spice? Idk. It wasn’t what I thought, but I did enjoy the pie “filling” on top.
Lunch was some delish white flour Eggo waffles SLATHERED…in a MEDLEY of PEANUT and ALMOND butters….

you betcha I also ate it out of the jar….meaning I had way too many servings of nut butter for lunch. But its what I craved. Sorry there are no greens or vibrant fruits here. whoops.
AH workout!!! I needed a good one since skipping Mondays…
Enter a 30 min treadmill intervals–total running about 2.2 miles and .7 miles walking
35 minutes elliptical — I pushed through level 8, 10, 12, and 20!
Can you say “I was seating through my socks?” Yes I was.
Before night class I had dinner! Aka more leftovers of:
cous cous
peas
meatless balls
olives
pasta sauce
ah some VEGGIES made it in today! woooo!!!
bedtime at 10:30 because I was coughing my head off, and was uncontrollably freezing. Um, did I say I could get sick the week before Thanksgiving? ugh…happens every year.
I was up at 7AM this morning, so I would not be late for work AGAIN. Unlike my past employer, this one actually does not like people being 15 minutes late…I must break this habit!
Breakfast was a repeat from this entire week! Its toooooo good!

1 box of raisins (ya know the regular boxes that equal a serving of fruit)

I am loving the instant original oats! Not only is it faster to make, but for some odd reason it tastes better to me than quick oats…maybe I am just one of those crazy bag ladies, but I really think there is a difference in taste! Its not just in my head!
this breakie keeps me seriously full for 4-5 hours. Crazy. I think its the raisins…
Fiber-licious…I mean Fergalicious…..
Yes, I did do a dance for my sorority initiation and it was Phi Siglicious….muahahha.
Now throughout today, I didn’t really have a “lunch” because I have been sick! Aches, chills, sore throat, coughing, headache……you name it I felt it…..and still feel it.
Lets just say that today was of course the day the OWNER decides to come in surprisingly, witness me downing a huge glass of FRESH SQUEEZED (aka not free) orange juice and looking like this guy…..
To try and make myself feel better today, I drank a lot:
And no not that type of drink–really kids? But I do blame some of my lifestyle for this unfortunate illness that has struck me.
back on track—-I had some plain black tea and a SF non fat latte in the morning….
insert: owner walking in….not good.

I also enjoyed a Blueberry Pop Tart–I mean Pure Bar (they really do taste the same, but obvi a Pure bar is good for our body and soul)
as you can see my work life is how do I say….SNOOZE FEST. BORING. MIND NUMBING………hmmm sounds like my love life recently. BWAAHAHA.
Even though, work was pretty slow, I was kept entertained by a certain boy (sigh)….
I think I am a pretty dense person however, because we were talking about plans for the evening, and when I said I may be going to a comedy show, he replied “I could use a good laugh tonight for sure” and do you think I reply back with, “Oh you should come, if you get out of work early?” …… Um no. I don’t. Because I am dense when it comes to boys and when they are trying to flirt with me….hence why I am still this 12 year old awkward person….ah next time girls, next time, I will invite him somewhere.
By the time work was dunzo, I was not feeling better at all….in fact I felt worse. I had a fever and was freezing. I thought of what to eat, but the only thing I craved was some comfort and warmth, or in this case, HEAT because I doused my dinner in hot sauce. I guess I thought I could burn this out of my system?

1/2 cup black beans
some veggie balls and fallafill balls
banana peppers
olives
HOT SAUCE!
Now, I am starting to realize I need to grocery shop tomorrow. Honestly, all I have in m fridge are some frozen boca burgers and chik’n fingers. The joys of being a grad student…..
Could I possibly want dessert? you betcha! Aunt Flo and I agreed. Ah, the culprit to my sweet tooth recently.
Yet, once again, since I have no food here, I came up with my version of “dessert”
1/2 pita warmed in microwave topped with pumpkin butter, honey almond butter and Mighty Maple, cinnamon and pumpkin pie spice and crumbled Nature Valley cinnamon granola bar….a hefty and snackface worthy treat.

workout is still TBD. Wait, does standing for 8 hours at work count, as active? haha
To be serious: I generally do not like taking so many days off exercise. I hate to get little – zero activity in a day. I am an active person and I even try to get a nice walk in when I can’t fit in a sweaty 30 minutes or lift weights, etc. However getting no activity, just plain sucks. Being honest here, but I feel sloth like….as mentioned and shown above.
How do you guys feel about fitness and being sick? I generally like working out when feeling a little sick because it seems to actually help me recover faster. But when I have flu symptoms I just can’t seem to get the motivation to do so.

Mom, Dad, and myself are going to NEW YORK CITY this December 14-17!!! I am so excited! We are planning on hitting up Broadway (since we will be staying in Times Square), ice skating, Today Show, eating at PURE!!!! and Serendipity and Little Italy and my dad’s favorite spot—Sardee’s….oh and I may just be having a fabulous night on the town with everyone’s late night snacker and my twin, SNACK FACE!!!!I am beyond excited! Probs more so than Thanksgiving!

hi lo!you are the sweetest and truly do have such a zest for your life.you are a inspiration.such yummy yummy eatsjust one quick note on working out with flu symptoms: a common-cold ok – but even a young adult with flu symptoms can have a heart attack while working out! my ex-bf was a brain surgeon and even at the slightest bit of flu symptom he said to take at least 2-3 days off…he made me and said it is dangerous!!!! so take it easy my girl & a night all snuggly in bed will make you feel ten times betterlove

Oh girl I'm so sorry to hear you're sick, that's the worst. Especially right in the midst of all the crazy papers and whatnots that've gotta get done. I'm the worst procrastinator too, I have SO many things due the next couple weeks and I'm having the hardest time EVER getting anything going. Baaaaah. Try not too feel too too bad about no exercise eh, I try to exercise too when a little sick but if you are NOT feeling it then your body probably does NOT want it right now. You'll be back to healthy in no time though I'm sure!Oh and I'm TOTALLY the same way with guys. Like the worst. I wouldn't have invited him along either even if I were DYING to. I ate at Serendipity 3 times during my last trip to NYC. That was way too much ice-cream and frozen hot chocolate to comsume in 4 days, but I also ran 26.2 miles.
When I go back, I want to eat at Pure. Someday I hope!Hope you're feeling better soon, and best of luck with all your paper writing.That waffle lathered in nut butter. Perfect lunch if you ask me, veggie or not.
