The Girl

Hi! My name is Lora. But since we are going to be great friends, you can call me Lo.

I like to wear big glasses and I change my hair color every few months.

I am a freelance writer who is addicted to just about everything including my dog, Benny.

I’m a coffee junkie, pretend beer and wine snob, yoga enthusiast, amateur photographer and ex-vegetarian.

When I am not blogging you can find me napping on my couch, serving up cocktails at a local bar, dancing, eating too much sushi, teaching yoga, downward dogging it in a yoga class or riding my bicycle all around town.

What you will find on this blog:  You will find lots of photos, lots of interesting and hilarious stories, lots of music suggestions, important life lessons and a ton of sarcasm.

I basically want to share my life in Chicago while I try to figure out this whole thing called adulthood.

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Enjoyed meeting Dorothy at Crosby’s Kitchen. I”ll follow to see where you take me.

  2. Hi Lora,

I used to work at Foodbuzz and love your blog! I wanted to tell you about a startup that you and your readers might be interested in, just in time for New Year’s Resolutions. It’s Navafit, a website that offers online fitness classes including yoga.

They are offering four free classes, no strings, totally free…Navafit is new and they want people to check out their program. Just sign up at navafit.com and enter in code #10200. Try it out for yourself and pass this gift on to your friends and readers, using the same code number.

A fun feature of Navafit, especially for bloggers, is that you can form your own goal-based groups and set up classes for any occasion:
    • Losing baby weight
    • New Years’ Resolutions
    • Wedding parties
    • Class reunion

Classes are varied, from Yoga to Cardio Resistance to Pilates, and all led by certified personal trainers. They will add classes to fit any time zone. Navafit would love to hear what you think – info@navafit.com.

Cheers to an amazing holiday season!
    Susan
